Cider Pressing at MRVRE!
The annual apple harvest is on and 2019 is looking like a great year.
The trees at our office are loaded up with ripe fruit and we will be pressing cider on Saturday, September 28th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
The very definition of a seasonal activity, each fall we love to gather with friends to press fresh apple cider. For the first time, we will host a demonstration of this traditional craft at our Route 100 office in Waitsfield.
Pressing apples is wonderfully simple and the resulting fresh cider is a culinary treat.
Those wishing to make hard cider should gather additional apples ahead of time and bring a carboy. If you want a quick primer on hard cider making, please refer to my blog post, dated 3/2/2016.
We look forward to treating you to some fresh apple (and maybe pear) cider!
