Mad River Valley Real Estate Sales for the month of July

Statistics were taken on the last day of the month from the Northern New England Real Estate Network.

The towns of Fayston, Moretown, Waitsfield and Warren were included.

Inventory is still high. It is typical for inventory to go up during the summer months. However, 445 properties are the most we have seen since we started graphing real estate sales in October of 2011. On the bright side, showings are brisk and the phone is ringing. There were 10 closings in July and there are 27 properties under contract. We hope they all make it to closing! Compared to last year residential sales are up. At the end of July 2013 there had been 29 residential sales for the year. This year there have been 34. The same is not true for condominium or land sales. 31 condominium sales thus far this year. 2013 saw 35 sales at this time last year. Land sales are at 7 compared to 9 in 2013.
